It is the mission of Women Unifying To Overcome Odds, Inc. (WU-TOO) to create programs and interventions that set young women from across the state of Georgia on a path to increasing their self worth, social interactions, academic experience and positive behaviors in addition to providing workforce development training and professional mentorship that move participants through pivotal financial, social, and career successes. It is the organization’s goal to:
- Provide programming that increases community-focused problem-solving skills, by hosting civic technology hack-a-thons.
- Research a social, economic, or environmental issues; and pay the young women to come up with and help to implement solutions.
- Manage a Workforce Program that includes employment metrics related to the increase of minority women in Social Impact Engagement. Social Innovation. And Civic Engagement
- Create and facilitate a social community and/or digital network for young women who desire to create positive impact in their homes, communities and personal lives
